Q. I've just passed your course but I need my certificate immediately. I do not have time to wait for two weeks for standard delivery. Will you overnight my certificate to me if I pay for the charges?
A. Certificates are computer generated and are sent via U.S.P.S within two weeks of completing the course with a passing grade as stated when you completed the course. They cannot be sent any other way. Also they will automatically be sent to the address you entered at your time of registration.

Q. I can’t print my certificate?
A. Certificates are computer generated and are sent via U.P.S within two weeks of completing the course with a passing grade as stated when you completed the course. They cannot be sent any other way. Also they will automatically be sent to the address you entered at time of registration.

Q. I need my certificate sent to my (Insurance Agent, Court, Company…etc) 
A. Certificates are computer generated and are sent via U.P.S within two weeks of completing the course with a passing grade as stated when you completed the course. They cannot be sent any other way. Also they will automatically be sent to the address you entered at time of registration.

Q. I want to get a copy of my certificate but I did not take the course with The Defensive Driving School.com
A. You must contact the school where you took the course. The Defensive Driving School.com only maintains information on students who have completed the course online at our site.

Q. I have completed the course over two weeks ago and have still not received my certificate.
A. Certificates are mailed out via U.P.S. within two weeks after you have completed the course with a passing grade of 70% or more on your post test. If you have taken the course online at The Defensive Driving School.com and have not received your certificate within two weeks following your date of completion do to a mistake on our part we will issue you a second certificate. If your certificate has been returned to us do to the wrong address we will resend that same certificate to your correct address without a fee. However, if a new certificate needs to be issued, do to the fault of the customer, we must charge $7.50.

In order to issue another certificate please print the form below and fax it to us at 516-249-1856.
(You will only be charged the $ 7.50 if it is due to an error on the student’s part. An example of this would be entering the wrong address when registering or misplacing your certificate.

Q. My Insurance Company won’t accept my certificate for a discount. What can I do?
A. This is a situation you need to take up with your insurance company. We host the Defensive Driving Course with the sole purpose of educating people to improve there driving skills. These skills are proven to be so effective that we find that most insurance companies and brokers accept our course for insurance discounts. However, we do not make any guarantees that our course is valid for insurance discounts this matter is solely up to the discrepancy of your insurance carrier.

Nowhere on our website do we promise our customers will receive a discount on their insurance. It does however state, in several locations, to check with your insurance company before taking the course for this purpose.
